Announcement - Extension of Professor Chris Damaren's term as Vice-Dean, Graduate

Dear Members of C&D

I am pleased to announce the 2-year extension to the first term of Professor Chris Damaren’s appointment as Vice-Dean, Graduate Studies. Chris will continue to serve the Faculty in this capacity until June 30, 2013.

One of his accomplishments within the Vice-Dean, Graduate portfolio has been his effective leadership to increase enrolments in the Faculty’s graduate programs, with an increase of 54% for MEng/MHSc. This comes as a result of the targeted and coordinated recruitment activities that he has lead since 2008. Chris also lead the development of the Graduate Degree Level Expectations (GDLEs) for the graduate degrees offered by the Faculty. He expanded and enhanced the ELITE (Entrepreneurship Leadership Innovation Technology in Engineering) Program, and he lead the development and implementation of 2 new certificate programs, namely Engineering and Public Policy and Engineering & Globalization.

Please join me in thanking and congratulating Chris on his extension.

Cristina
