Re: Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
The annual University of Toronto "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011. All staff and faculty are welcome to bring their daughters and sons in grades 4 to 7 with them to work on that day.
An email has been sent to all staff and faculty members inviting them to participate. Staff members without an email account have received an information flyer via campus mail. Registration forms are available at www.hrandequity.utoronto.ca/news/tdswd11. Where web access is not readily accessible, forms will be available at various locations throughout the St. George Campus. For a list of events at the Mississauga and Scarborough Campuses, please visit www.utm.utoronto.ca/tods and http://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/~hrhome/take/takekidstowork11.html respectively.

The activities of the day are divided into two main parts: In the morning there is an official welcome, followed by a guest speaker and a variety of organized tours for children to choose from. Lunch will be in two different locations - The Faculty Club or the cafeteria in the Medical Sciences Building. Children eat for free and parents can join their children for lunch at a reduced cost of $5.00.
After lunch, and for the remainder of the day, children will accompany their parents to their respective workplaces. If several members of your department or unit plan to bring their children to work you may want to suggest an organized departmental activity for part of the time.
We look forward to welcoming faculty and staff with their daughters and sons on April 28th, to share the work day, to have fun, and to visit some of the most interesting places on the University Campus!
Thanks for your support!
