Leaders of Tomorrow in Civil Engineering

As many of you know, Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a Student Leadership Development Program that was started in our Faculty a couple of years ago. The program’s vision is “an engineering education that is a life-long foundation for transformational leaders and outstanding citizens”. Through extra-curricular and co-curricular programming LOT strives to design, develop, implement and evaluate a world-class engineering student leadership development program which, amongst other things, provides opportunities for students to develop their leadership ability by observing, experiencing, and reflecting on the leadership process.

I am looking for volunteers who want to be on our Departmental LOT working group. The task of the group is to identify, develop and implement the types of leadership programs we think are important to our civil and mineral engineering students. I have set up our first meeting for November 11th at 1 pm in GB 107.

If you are interested in being part of this working group and have not contacted me yet, please email me indicating your interest and letting me know if you are able to attend the meeting.

FYI, I will be providing a light lunch for all that attend. Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Nelly
