RE: Tentative Agreement with CUPE 3902, Unit 3
I am extremely pleased to advise you that the University has reached a tentative agreement with CUPE 3902 Unit 3. The University will operate as usual on Monday. We will provide further details once the ratification vote has been conducted.
We all owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Angela Hildyard, our indefatigable Vice President, Human Resources and Equity, and to her bargaining team, especially Mary Ann McConkey. I know also that you and your colleagues have put much effort into contingency plans for maintaining the continuity and integrity of our students' courses in the event of a strike. Lest you be tempted to think that it was for nought, let me assure you that that is far from the truth.
