2010 Toronto's Vital Signs reports available for FREE

Dear faculty:

The 2010 Toronto's Vital Signs® Report is now available!

The Report provides a snapshot of the quality of life in Toronto and highlights our city's accomplishments as well as our challenges. It is a story about Toronto, for Toronto, and is especially relevant in this pivotal election year.
Would you be interested in receiving *** free copies *** of the Toronto's Vital Signs® 2010 publication to begin a discussion with students and colleagues about the well-being of the city and its residents?

Toronto’s Vital Signs® is a useful tool for assessing urban issues, understanding problems, developing potential solutions, and fostering interest in civic engagement. On October 5th, the Toronto Community Foundation released Toronto's Vital Signs® 2010 as a special section in the Toronto Star.

The shorter version of the Report as well as a Full version, including citations and sources can now be found at: http://www.tcf.ca/vitalinitiatives/vitalsigns.html

Last year, over a million Torontonians read Toronto’s Vital Signs®, and 3,000 copies of the Report were used by students and faculty at 5 of Toronto’s universities and colleges. This year, we aim to have all universities and colleges in this city use this terrific resource, fostering debate and civic engagement among students in a wide variety of disciplines.

Published annually, the Toronto's Vital Signs® Report is a snapshot of the trends in our city, which looks at eleven different, yet interconnected, issue areas that we believe are critical to the well-being of our city and its residents. Through our media partners, it reaches over a million people in the GTA.

The Report deepens our community knowledge and is a valuable tool for residents, students, community leaders and elected officials who are developing the much-needed new ideas required to build a stronger Toronto.
