Canadian Science Policy Conference - October 20-22, 2010 - Montreal, Quebec

The organizing committee for the 2010 Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC) asks for your help in distributing this message to interested individuals in Civil Engineering. If possible, please forward this message to professors and graduate students in your department:

The 2nd Canadian Science Policy Conference 2010 will take place in October 20-22, 2010 at the Hyatt Hotel Montreal, Quebec. The CSPC 2010 will be the most significant science policy event of the year and features a comprehensive 3 day conference with 2 internationally renowned Keynote Speakers; 13 panels and 3 workshops covering 5 major themes; over 50 featured speakers from across Canada and internationally.

By bringing together more than 400 high-profile scientists, executives, government officials, academics and industry leaders for an exchange of ideas, CSPC will provide a unique opportunity for networking amongst Canada's diverse science policy stakeholders. This conference will be large enough for a limited number of students to participate, giving them a unique opportunity to learn about science policy-making in Canada from Canada's science policy leaders. For more information on registration and agenda details, please visit: http://www.cspc2010.ca.
Building upon the immense success of last fall's CSPC 2009 in Toronto, which was hailed by Nature Magazine as "a sign of hope for Canadian science policy", CSPC 2010 will be a milestone in Canadian science policy.

Regards,

Anton Neschadim
on behalf of the CSPC Organizing Committee
