A Message from Dean Cristina Amon

At the forefront in Canada and among the very best in the world, our Faculty's graduate programs attract top applicants from around the globe.

In lectures and through research advising, our professors play a pivotal mentoring role in our graduate students' education.

In turn, our alumni become the next generation of engineering innovators, global scholars and industry leaders. We are proud of our newest alumni; 284 talented graduate students who received their degrees this week. Many built and diversified their skills as they served as Teaching Assistants and enrolled in programs such as the ELITE and SCFI Magna MEng.

In support of our commitment to enhancing our Engineering students' experiences and educational opportunities, Faculty Council will consider three new programs on Dec. 1: engineering business minor, engineering business certificate and global engineering certificate (see proposals).

Our students demonstrated their strong interest in the Faculty's efforts through their engagement and great turn-out at the Dean's Student Town Hall co-hosted with the Engineering Society. The thoughtful feedback that students provided will help us collaboratively refine our services and processes to further strengthen our U of T Engineering community.
