It is my pleasure to announce that Deirdre Gomes has been appointed to the position of Alumni Relations Officer for the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering in the Engineering Advancement Office.
Deirdre comes to us from Pathways to Education Canada, a charitable organization created to reduce poverty and increase access to education for disadvantaged youth. In her four years at Pathways, she has been responsible for their special events and donor and alumni communications. Deirdre completed her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Ryerson University.
Among Deirdre's many responsibilities, she will be responsible for managing our Alumni Enewsletter, Biz Skule, Calgary Chapter and class leaders programs. Deirdre's first day will be on November 29th. Please join me in welcoming her.
