A Message from Dean Cristina Amon
It takes our dedicated, engaged community of staff, faculty, alumni and students to maintain our Faculty's standing as Canada's premier engineering school. Around the world, we are renowned for our excellence in education and innovative research, supported by our staff who "collaborate for excellence."
Nominations are still open for our recently launched five staff awards – now in its second year – in addition to two revitalized teaching awards and a new teaching assistant award. Read about our colleagues' direct and positive impact on our students' experiences. This issue also highlights some of our Faculty's initiatives that support students' engagement, learning and their growth as future global engineers and leaders in society.
Your outstanding contribution to our Faculty's mission is inspiring – and our collective efforts are being rewarded. Six of our professors were elected to AAAS, six more honoured by EIC, another named as one of 25 transformational Canadians, and one will receive the Order of Ontario – results of our scholars' commitment to engineering excellence.
Congratulations! We look forward to celebrating these, among others' successes in April.
