SGS Awards Announcement

The University of Toronto has recently received information from MTCU regarding the upcoming 2011-2012 The Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS)
Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program
The Ontario Graduate Scholarship program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels. An OGS is awarded for one academic year, which may consist of two or three consecutive terms. The current value of OGS is $5,000 per term. Students may receive a total of $10,000 for two consecutive terms or a total of $15,000, for three consecutive terms.
For the 2011-2012 academic year, approximately 3,000 scholarships will be awarded. Of these, 90 scholarships will be awarded to students who have been admitted to Canada as visitors with a study permit, referred to in the application as Temporary Resident Visa Student Class.

SGS Graduate Awards Office OGS Deadline:
Div I, II & IV - Wednesday October 27th
Div III - Thursday November 4th
When submitting your applications to SGS, please include the following:
1. One copy of the student OGS application (page order as indicated in File Preparation Instructions)
2. One Institution Checklist in each student file (available on the OGS website)
3. One Ranked Candidates Form in each student file (available on the OGS website)
4. All required transcripts (please provide photocopies of reverse side for all non-Canadian transcripts)
5. A complete list of applications (see Excel file attached - OGS 2011-12 Department Template). Please change the file name to identify your graduate units name and submit this file to me electronically by at: virginie.raynal@utoronto.ca on or before the SGS deadline.
