We would like to graciously invite you to participate in the second annual World Water Day Graduate Research Fair and Water Celebration, an offshoot of a similar event held at Wilfrid Laurier in 2010.
The Water Institute and it's student chapter, SWIGS, have teamed up with Laurier's Institute for Water Science and Cold Regions Research Centre to host an all-day event on March 22^nd , UN World Water Day. The event will include graduate water research poster presentations, talks on water science, technology, and policy, and booths for water sector partners and community groups. The event is intended to highlight the depth and breadth of local water research, provide networking opportunities between water researchers and practitioners, and encourage awareness of local and global world water issues. Please visit the website for more details:

We are actively asking graduate students to participate by:
(1) sharing their research through a poster and/or oral presentation (recycled posters welcome!),
(2) Showing up, networking, and learning more about the wide range of water issues and water research .
If you are interested in volunteering or contributing an oral presentation, please contact SWIGS conference chair Pete Thompson, pjthomps@uwaterloo.ca
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive event, and hope to see you there!
Kind Regards,
James R. Craig, Ph.D.
